Gut bugs may hold key to easing pelvic pain after cancer therapy

NCT ID NCT07259681

First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at women who had pelvic side effects (like pain, bladder, or bowel issues) after radiation or chemotherapy for gynecological cancer. Researchers want to see if the types of bacteria in the gut are linked to these side effects and if rectal ozone treatment can change the gut bacteria to help. The study will compare women with side effects to those without, and track changes over time.
