Could gut bugs play a role in repeated miscarriages?

This completed study looked at whether the types of bacteria in a woman's gut are linked to having repeated miscarriages. Researchers compared stool and blood samples from 60 women with a history of two or three miscarriages to those with complication-free pregnancies. The goal was to see if differences in gut microbiome composition, hormone levels, or bacterial byproducts might help explain recurrent pregnancy loss. No treatment was given; this was purely an observational study to gather knowledge.
