First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study follows 65 adults with gallstones who are scheduled for gallbladder removal surgery. Researchers collect stool, urine, blood, and saliva samples before and up to 6 months after surgery to see how gut bacteria and body chemicals change. The goal is to understand the body's response to surgery, not to test a new treatment.
