NCT ID NCT05739825

First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tracks how fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) changes the gut bacteria of 20 people with repeat C. difficile infections. Researchers will analyze stool samples before and up to 90 days after the procedure to understand why FMT works so well. The goal is to learn more about the microbiome, not to test a new treatment.
