Could your gut bacteria predict your cancer treatment success?

NCT ID NCT03586297

Summary

This study aimed to understand if the types of bacteria in a person's gut and tumor are linked to how well they respond to standard chemotherapy for triple-negative breast cancer. Researchers followed 49 newly diagnosed patients, collecting stool, blood, and tumor samples before, during, and after their chemotherapy treatment. The goal was to see if specific bacteria patterns could predict a complete response to the treatment.
