Summary

This study looks at whether a type of dietary fiber (soluble corn fiber) can help older men absorb more calcium and improve bone health. Researchers will enroll 30 male Veterans aged 60 and older. Participants will take the fiber supplement and have their calcium absorption, bone markers, and gut bacteria measured. The goal is to find a simple dietary way to reduce fracture risk.
