First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 26, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looked at 200 critically ill patients to see if there is a link between gut injury and how well blood returns to the heart. Doctors used ultrasound to measure blood flow in the veins and gut. The goal was to better understand gut problems in the ICU, not to test a new treatment.
