NCT ID NCT07216092
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a home-based audio program of gut-directed hypnotherapy could help children aged 8-18 with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or similar stomach pain disorders sleep better and feel less pain. 46 children from three hospitals took part. One group did 6 weeks of daily listening sessions at home, while the other group continued usual care first and then switched to the audio program. Researchers tracked sleep quality, belly pain, and daily function through online surveys to see if this easy-to-use approach was helpful and practical.
