Scientists search for clues connecting gut and gum disease
NCT ID NCT07378540
Summary
This study aimed to understand if there is a connection between stomach inflammation (gastritis) and gum disease. Researchers compared the types of bacteria in the saliva of 30 people with gastritis to those of healthy individuals. They used advanced lab tests to see if the bacterial communities in the mouth differ between the two groups.
