Could your gut bacteria be making your food risky for your heart?

NCT ID NCT01731236

Summary

This study aims to understand how the bacteria in our gut process nutrients found in foods like red meat and eggs, and whether this affects heart disease risk. Researchers will examine 100 healthy adults to see if dietary supplements, antibiotics, or probiotics change how these nutrients are metabolized. The goal is to gather knowledge about the gut-heart connection, not to test a treatment.
