Can a potato starch pill tune your heartbeat? scientists investigate the Gut's hidden signals
NCT ID NCT06851039
Summary
This study aimed to understand if certain food components that affect gut bacteria can change how the body automatically controls heart rate and breathing. Fourteen healthy young adults tried different starch supplements and a placebo over several weeks. Researchers measured chemicals in their blood and stool, and tested their body's automatic reflexes to see if there was a connection.
