Mushroom powder shows promise for depression in thyroid cancer patients

Summary

This study tests whether a special mushroom powder (Ganoderma lucidum spores) can reduce depression in women who have had thyroid cancer surgery. Three hundred female participants will take either the mushroom powder or a placebo for three months. The goal is to see if it improves mood and sleep by affecting the gut-brain connection.
