Scientists scan guts to solve mystery of Post-Meal dizziness

NCT ID NCT07381816

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people experience a dangerous drop in blood pressure after eating, a condition called postprandial hypotension. Researchers will use MRI scans to measure blood flow in the gut of 30 participants—some with the condition and some healthy—after they drink a sugary solution. The goal is to learn how the body's natural hormones control blood flow after a meal.
