Can your gut bugs predict cancer treatment success?

NCT ID NCT07400354

Summary

This study aims to see if the types of bacteria in a patient's gut can help predict how well their stomach cancer will respond to a combination of immunotherapy and chemotherapy. It will enroll 300 adults with advanced stomach cancer who have not had prior chemotherapy or immunotherapy. Researchers will analyze stool samples at specific times during treatment to look for connections between gut bacteria and how long the cancer stays under control.
