Scientists hunt for gut bugs linked to hypertension

NCT ID NCT06284928

Summary

This study looked at whether the types of bacteria living in people's guts are connected to high blood pressure. Researchers compared stool samples from 192 people, including those newly diagnosed with high blood pressure, those whose blood pressure is still high despite medication, and healthy individuals. The goal was to identify specific bacterial patterns that might help explain or treat high blood pressure in the future.
