Scientists probe link between fitness and your Gut's 'Microbial Fingerprint'

NCT ID NCT07276464

Summary

This study aims to understand how different levels of physical fitness affect the community of bacteria living in the gut. Researchers will compare the gut bacteria of 30 healthy men, ranging from moderately active to elite athletes, by analyzing stool samples and measuring their fitness. The goal is to see if specific gut bacteria profiles are linked to exercise capacity and to create a sample bank for future research on gut health.
