Could your gut bugs be a hidden heart risk?
NCT ID NCT01731236
Summary
This study aims to understand how the bacteria in our gut process nutrients found in foods like red meat and eggs. Researchers want to see if these gut bacteria create substances that could increase the risk of heart disease. They will test if changing a person's diet, giving them antibiotics, or probiotics alters this process in 100 healthy volunteers.
