Can a gut bacteria cocktail boost cancer treatment?
NCT ID NCT03686202
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a specific, lab-made mix of gut bacteria (called MET-4) to standard immunotherapy helps control advanced solid tumors. It will involve about 65 adults with incurable cancer who are receiving or starting immunotherapy. The main goals are to see if the bacteria supplement is safe, if it successfully lives in the gut, and if it makes the immunotherapy work better.
