Scientists probe link between gut bugs and cancer drug side effects
NCT ID NCT07406594
Summary
This study aims to understand how a common breast cancer drug, Verzenio, affects the bacteria living in patients' digestive systems (the gut microbiome). Researchers want to see if changes in these bacteria are connected to digestive side effects like diarrhea that patients often experience. Participants will mail in stool samples and fill out symptom surveys from home while receiving their standard treatment.
