Hope for a painful skin disease: psoriasis drug gets new trial

NCT ID NCT06651489

Summary

This study is testing if a medication called guselkumab, already approved for psoriasis, can help people with Hailey Hailey Disease (HHD), a rare and painful genetic skin condition. Ten participants with moderate-to-severe HHD will receive injections of the drug over 24 weeks to see if it reduces their skin symptoms and improves their quality of life. The goal is to find a more effective treatment option for this chronic disorder, which currently has no reliably effective therapy.
