Gum treatment may cool down heart attack arteries

Summary
This study looks at whether treating severe gum disease can lower inflammation in the arteries of people who recently had a heart attack. About 210 participants will either receive specialized gum treatment or standard dental care. Researchers will use PET scans to measure changes in artery inflammation over one year.
