Surprising link: gum treatment may ease prostate and bladder woes
NCT ID NCT07438184
Summary
This study tested whether treating gum disease could help men with chronic prostate inflammation or repeated urinary tract infections. Researchers divided 60 men with both gum disease and these urinary conditions into groups that received different levels of dental care. They measured whether cleaning teeth and gums thoroughly reduced prostate inflammation markers and lowered urinary infection rates over four months.
