Could a dental gel help tame diabetes?
NCT ID NCT07298057
Summary
This study is testing if adding a time-release antibiotic gel to a standard deep dental cleaning helps people with type 2 diabetes manage their gum disease and blood sugar better. Researchers will compare the gum cleaning alone to the cleaning plus the gel in 42 participants. They will measure gum health, blood sugar levels, and body-wide inflammation to see if the combined treatment is more effective.
