Scientists use 3D and heat imaging to watch gum surgery healing

NCT ID NCT03631693

Summary

This study compared how patients heal after two different gum surgery procedures for periodontal disease. Researchers used 3D imaging to measure swelling and thermal imaging to track temperature changes in the healing area. The goal was to understand which surgical technique causes less swelling and inflammation during recovery.
