First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study compares two surgical techniques for treating gum recession, where the gum pulls away from the tooth. The goal is to cover the exposed root and improve gum health. About 22 adults with gum recession will receive either a new incision method (SAMRI) or a standard tunnel procedure, both using a donor tissue graft. Researchers will measure root coverage, gum thickness, and patient pain or swelling over 12 months.
