Gum surgery showdown: which technique covers receding gums best?
NCT ID NCT03619096
First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study was designed to compare two surgical techniques for covering exposed tooth roots caused by gum recession, using a porcine collagen graft instead of tissue from the patient's own palate. The goal was to see which method provides better root coverage and less discomfort. The study planned to enroll 20 non-smoking adults with multiple gum recessions, but it was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
