Gum graft secrets revealed: 3D study tracks tissue changes

NCT ID NCT07617987

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how free gum grafts shrink and change after being moved to a new spot in the mouth. Twenty adults with thin gums will each get two grafts from the same area of the palate, taken 63 days apart. Researchers will use 3D scans and tissue analysis to understand the healing process and what affects graft size.
