First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a special gel (made with polynucleotide and hyaluronic acid) to a standard bone graft procedure helps repair bone damage caused by severe gum disease (periodontitis). About 66 adults with deep gum pockets and bone defects will receive either surgery alone, surgery with bone graft, or surgery with bone graft plus the gel. Researchers will measure bone healing and gum health over 12 months to see if the gel improves outcomes.
