10-Year watch: which gum surgery saves teeth best?

NCT ID NCT07283393

Summary

This study is observing adults who have already had surgery for severe gum disease (periodontitis) to see how well their teeth and gums hold up over many years. Researchers are tracking two main types of surgery—one that removes diseased tissue and one that tries to regrow lost bone—to compare their long-term results. The goal is to learn which approach is better at keeping teeth healthy and in place over a decade.
