Looking back: does gum surgery hold up years later?
NCT ID NCT04971174
Summary
This study looked back at the results of surgeries performed to treat severe gum disease (periodontitis). Researchers reviewed the dental records of 126 patients who had a specific type of gum surgery at a London hospital between 2017 and 2019. They then invited some patients back for a check-up to see how well the surgical results lasted over 1 to 4 years.
