Summary
This study aims to understand if there is a biological link between severe gum disease (periodontitis) and sudden heart problems (acute coronary syndrome). Researchers will compare four groups of people to measure levels of specific gum bacteria, viruses, and a protein called Klotho in their bodies. The goal is to gather knowledge that could explain why these two conditions often occur together.
