New gum surgery materials aim to rebuild lost jawbone

Summary
This study is testing different biological materials to see which works best for helping bone regrow around teeth during gum surgery. It involves 30 adults with advanced gum disease who have a specific type of bone defect. During a minor surgical procedure, one of four material combinations will be placed in the bone defect to support healing and regrowth over 6-12 months.
