Gum disease breakdown: new study tests two ways to fix deep bone holes

Summary
This study tests two treatments for a single deep bone defect in the gum caused by gum disease. One is a minor surgery (MIST) plus platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), the other is a deep cleaning (GBT) plus PRF. Researchers will check how much bone fills in and how gum health improves over time. 36 adults with a deep gum pocket will take part.
