Summary
This pilot study tested a program called GUIDE, which uses a trained navigator to help cancer patients overcome social and financial barriers to joining clinical trials. The study included 100 adults with cancer who were eligible for a trial and had at least one health-related social need. The goal was to see if the program is acceptable and feasible, with the hope of increasing diversity in cancer research.

What this could lead to
If successful, this program could help more people from diverse backgrounds participate in cancer clinical trials, making future treatments more inclusive.
What could go wrong
