Cash for stability: silicon valley tests $1,000 monthly payments for homeless families

NCT ID NCT05698498

Summary

This study aims to learn if giving families experiencing homelessness $1,000 per month for two years helps them find and keep stable housing and improves their health and well-being. Researchers will enroll 300 families in Santa Clara County, California, and randomly assign half to receive the cash payments. The study will also test if families prefer getting the money in monthly payments or as a larger lump sum upfront.
