Summary
This early-stage study tested the safety of a compound called glyceryl tribenzoate (GTB) in 40 healthy adults aged 18 to 50. Participants received either a single or multiple doses of GTB or a placebo. The goal was to check for side effects and how the body processes the drug, not to treat any disease. Results will help decide if GTB should be studied further for neurological conditions.
