Promising new imaging probes could spot prostate cancer missed by standard scans

NCT ID NCT07363382

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests two new imaging agents (68Ga-G21 and 68Ga-G23) that target a protein found on most prostate cancer cells. The goal is to see if these PET scans can find cancers that standard PSMA scans might miss, helping doctors better stage the disease and guide treatment. Six adults with prostate cancer will receive both the new and standard scans for comparison.
