Body's own healing factors tested to repair spinal cord damage

NCT ID NCT07253233

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a treatment made from a patient's own concentrated growth factors can help restore movement, sensation, and bodily functions after a spinal cord injury. Ten adults with recent or long-standing spinal cord injuries will have the growth factor material implanted at their injury site along with standard rehab. Researchers will track changes in motor skills, walking, bladder control, and other functions over a year to see if the treatment helps.
