First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether group schema therapy, which uses self-recorded videos as part of treatment, can help teens with borderline symptoms. 64 participants will be randomly assigned to either the therapy or usual care. The therapy includes 30 group sessions, 8 individual sessions, and separate sessions for parents. The goal is to see if this approach reduces borderline symptoms and improves mental health.

If it works, this could offer a structured, short-term therapy option for teens with borderline symptoms, potentially reducing symptoms and improving daily life.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial (64 participants) and results may not apply to all teens. The therapy is time-intensive and requires commitment from both teens and parents.
