Simple hand squeezes could stop dangerous hospital blood clots
NCT ID NCT06370702
Summary
This study is testing whether simple hand grip exercises can prevent dangerous blood clots in hospitalized adults who have a PICC line. Researchers will enroll 2500 patients at two hospitals to see if regularly squeezing a grip device reduces clot risk. The goal is to find a safe, low-cost way to protect patients from this common complication.
