Summary

This study looks at how much waste is created during surgeries at Toronto Western Hospital, focusing on anesthesia-related trash. Researchers will sort through waste bins to measure what can be recycled, reused, or is thrown away incorrectly. The goal is to find ways to reduce waste and improve recycling, helping the environment. About 60 anesthesia staff will take part by allowing their waste to be audited.
