Grape powder may stop Post-Surgery heart flutter
NCT ID NCT05991700
First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether a concentrated grape powder, taken before heart surgery, can prevent a common complication called post-operative atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat). The powder contains natural anti-inflammatory compounds that may reduce heart inflammation without the bleeding risks of standard anti-inflammatory drugs. About 70 adults aged 50-79 undergoing mitral valve repair will participate.
