Could a spoonful of grape powder keep your heartbeat steady after surgery?
NCT ID NCT05991700
Summary
This study is testing whether a concentrated grape powder, taken before surgery, can prevent a common irregular heartbeat that often occurs after heart operations. Researchers believe natural compounds in grapes might reduce inflammation that causes this problem. The study will enroll about 70 patients undergoing elective mitral valve surgery who do not have a pre-existing irregular heartbeat.
