Grape power: can a natural supplement shield hearts from chemo damage?
NCT ID NCT07419711
Summary
This study is testing whether a concentrated grape extract can help protect the heart from damage caused by certain breast cancer chemotherapy drugs. It will involve 120 women at high risk for this side effect, who will take either the grape supplement or a placebo pill for three months starting with their chemo. Researchers will measure heart function and blood markers to see if the supplement makes a difference.
