First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study aims to improve how white blood cells (granulocytes) are collected from healthy volunteers to help patients with weak immune systems, like those after chemotherapy or bone marrow transplants. Up to 1,000 donors aged 18-75 will receive two drugs (filgrastim and dexamethasone) to move cells into the bloodstream for collection via apheresis. The goal is to build a reliable donor program and monitor any side effects from repeated donations.
