First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding graded motor imagery training (a type of brain exercise) to a standard exercise program can reduce pain and improve movement in people with foot or ankle osteoarthritis. Twenty-four adults with confirmed osteoarthritis will be randomly assigned to either exercise alone or exercise plus the imagery training for 6 weeks. The goal is to see if this mind-body approach leads to better pain relief and function.
