New shot could tame hay fever symptoms for good
NCT ID NCT07154342
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This Phase 3 trial tests an injection called GR1802 for people with seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) that is not well controlled by standard treatments. The drug is a lab-made antibody that blocks a key inflammation signal. About 150 adults will receive either GR1802 or a placebo, plus their usual allergy meds, to see if it reduces nasal and eye symptoms.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
GR1802 injection (a lab-made antibody that blocks a protein involved in allergy inflammation)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a new option for people with seasonal allergies that are not well controlled by current treatments like nasal sprays.
What could go wrong
This is still an early Phase 3 trial with only 150 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug is an injection and may have side effects like injection site reactions or infections.
