New gel could shield breast cancer patients from radiation burns

Summary
This study tests a gel called GR1014-CG to see if it can prevent or reduce skin irritation caused by radiation therapy after breast cancer surgery. About 273 women who had a lumpectomy will apply the gel before each radiation session for 5 days. The goal is to find out if the gel is safe and helps keep skin healthy during treatment.
