Scientists repurpose meningitis shot in fight against gonorrhea

NCT ID NCT04350138

Summary

This study is testing if an existing meningitis vaccine called Bexsero can also prevent gonorrhea infections. It will involve about 2,200 adults aged 18-50 who are at higher risk for getting gonorrhea. Participants will receive either the vaccine or a placebo shot and be followed for about 16 months to see if the vaccine reduces their chance of infection.
