This study measured the energy used by 16 elite amateur golfers (handicap 5 or below) while walking or riding in a buggy over 18 holes. Researchers used heart rate monitors and activity trackers to compare energy expenditure, and also looked at performance, fatigue, and mental focus. The goal is to help golfers plan better nutrition and recovery strategies.
